Great news now, a speedy recovery!

Update on Jen-2: She is doing ok. She was brought back to surgery due to a stitch in her esophagus that was too tight. She came through just fine. Back in ICU, sleeping last I heard.

A stitch in her esophagus?? Did she have a hiatal hernia repair as well as a DS? whatever the case, I'm glad they are taking care of it and hope it will be smooth sailing from here on out.

Wow, yeah they told me after my EGD that I have one too and that they might put a stitch in it also while they’re in there?? I’ve never had any symptoms and not even entirely sure what it is. Guess I need to Google it..lol

Heard from Jen this morning. She was up and about and hoping she'd be cleared to sip, sip, sip today. Still hoping to be released on Friday. Her parents are with her.

Hi all! Thanks for all the well wishes! I'm going to start a new thread to detail my surgery and update periodically w progress reports. It's Thursday night. I'm feeling ok and still hope to be released tomorrow!
