I'm on the liver transplant list!

I think you are, unfortunately, surrounded by a sea of ignorance with a significant helping of crazy mixed in. Get this sorted out RIGHT NOW.

Well I talked to the hospitalist. He states that yes they had told my family that I did need a liver transplant because my liver enzymes were so high. When they spoke to Dr. K after the first time they sent me to the nursing home and he told them get me back in hospital is when they realized what was actually going on with me.

Thank goodness. Either way once I mentally came to they should had told me.

So is what you saying that at one point, the hospitalist was worried that you would need a liver transplant but then your liver recovered and you do NOT need a liver transplant? That's what it sounds like you're saying but I'm still not sure.
And yes, whatever the situation, they absolutely should have told you - unless the situation had already resolved by the time you were mentally with it.

Yes Larra, that is what I'm saying. Once they started getting other stuff under control everything appeared different. Like my kidneys were not working either so that was an issue with the water pouring out of my skin. Dr. K told them to give me albumin because Lasix wasn't pulling the fluid out the skin.
I'm definitely thankful for dr. K. Even though Every time he talked to me he got beyond frustrated and hung up in my face. That poor man was so frustrated. Then he just stopped calling and called the hospital directly.

@Larra Not half as glad as I am! Just to think they may have taken my perfectly decent live out. SCARY. I'm gonna have to rethink my medical power of attorney. My children just go with what the supposed expert says. I think I will change it to my mom's best friends. An ER doc and RN.

Hey @Larra do you think that I should just make an appointment with someone about what happened with my liver just to make sure or be checked that nothinh happened or what I need to do to prevent something from happening?

How about discussing with your pcp, who should know what happened to you in the hospital and why your liver enzymes were temporarily out of whack. I'm not sure who else to suggest.
