Had surgery Thursday

I had my hysterectomy. It went well I didn't have to get any blood. The only problem is I've been having low blood pressure. Two weeks before surgery I blacked out and fell Twice. I went to dr she said my blood pressure is. 2 low and my sugar is too low. She told me to eat something every hour

I'm out the hospital. My feet are swollen to bust. I cant take my diuretics because my bp is in the toilet. So I thought I would come ask the experts could this be ds related? 2 different drs are checking my thyroid. Plus in 3 days I gained 22 pounds.

First thing to check for as a DS patient is protein. Also, wouldn't hurt to check with a kidney specialist. How is your heart?

That 22 pounds is fluid retention from being on IV's in the hospital and laying in bed. Not to worry. Now that you can be up and moving, do it. Walk and sip just like after your DS. That will help your blood pressure too. Just be careful when you get up from a sitting or lying position to have something to grab onto if necessary due to what I call the blind staggers! Take care, I am glad you are on the road to recovery!

Glad you are through the surgery and wishing you a speedy recovery! Hopefully this will mean great things for your iron levels! I have low bp and sugar and drink full strength Gatorade at doctor's orders to avoid fainting. Fierce is the only flavor I can stand, though it looks like Windex, which is disturbing.

I don't know if you can eat asparagus, but it's a natural diuretic. Makes you pee. How is your iron? I know you've had low iron in the past, could that also be a problem with your dizziness?

Of course problem child is going through. Bp and sugar too low and pulse way too fast. Saturday b4 leaving they gave me 3 bolices of saline to try to slow my pulse down. Well Sunday my kidneys decided it was too much and they were done. Back in hospital with ivs of lasix to try to pull the fluid from my heart and legs having to keep my legs over my heart. I haven't been able to walk they are so bad and water was oozing from them. Ill be on my way to my daily doctor appointment in an hour.

My daughter keeps telling me I should have plastics since my insurance will pay. At this point im good on ALL surgeries that will not prolong life. Who'd thought have my who who pulled out and affects my heart, legs, and kidneys?

I was passing out because of the low stats.
