We just lost my uncle an hour ago. He was in remission for colon cancer and yesterday while in Phoenix visiting one of his sons and grandsons, he was rushed to the er with a bowel perforation. He had surgery and some intestine was removed but apparently there was significant leakage. In ICU apparently his blood pressure never came back up and his organs shut down.

He was a great guy and we are going to miss him very much...the world will miss him as he helped so many people including special needs folks with whom he spent a great deal of time.

Bottom line, if you are having strange pains in your abdomen don't mess around. Get to the ER immediately.... Seconds count.

I'm so sorry for your loss. My 83 year old mother had a bowel obstruction two months ago, and was close to dying before they got in - it was a matter of a couple of hours. Belly pain requires an urgent care visit!
