10 Year Post-OP RNY Weightloss Study

My cousin had a RnY 3 weeks after me and with Marshall. I just saw her at my grandfathers funeral and she looked good so far. She is inky 3 years so it will be interesting how she does longer term as she loses restriction.

At 3 years out, dh's cousin was doing well. She's now approaching 6 years out.

I suspect she will regain a fairly significant amount because she likes to eat like most of us and you just can't do that with the RnY. That being said I am really hoping it will work for her.

Also, since they had follow up info on only about a third of the patients, let’s all take a wild guess at WHY the other two-thirds did not respond.

(I had DS 16.5 years ago, and I’m currently at 58% of my starting weight. I would be GLAD to share that info with the researchers.)

I’m 5 years post-gastric bypass and my BMI is holding steady at around 19.6. Hopefully I’ll be a long term success case.
