List of DS surgeons

Warden has a poor reputation in the DS world.
Diana,

I'm curious as to your comments. I'm not here to endorse or condemn any surgeon but I am curious as to his poor reputation. Do you mean specifically with success, aftercare, technique, etc? My experience has been a positive one but I am sure there are others who would disagree.

Sorry - I searched and couldn't find the sources of my concerns, and wrote a post which I must have failed to post. I have tracked down one of his patients who I hope will provide more info.

Dr. Clark Warden
Metairie, Louisiana
February 2005

Your lucky to be alive after Dr Warden. He has been sued numerous times, Not by me, ( I should have) but I know 2 people who died under his care / post op care. My original BPS was in 2003, Thankfully the good Dr John Rabkin saved my life in 2013 as I had numerous issues, including improper sleeve, improper intestinal lengths, and a fistula (same as a leak). I was quite ill and he would not listen to me. I took my care elsewhere at that point. If I had not been proactive I would be dead today.

I know I do not post much here, but I pop in and out. Life is busy now that I am normal per se.

So I would NEVER put Warden on a list other than to RUN and RUN as fast as you can.

His partner back then was Dr Kim who was also sued and the practice split. Dr Kim, moved to another state and Dr Warden moved his practice to another hospital.

You are definitely the exception to the rule. ! Congrats. See my other post.

@Psychomom do you know whether Dr. Syn is doing the standard of care DS with 2 anastomoses, or is he doing the SADI and calling it a DS? The only procedure I could find mentioned on his website at all is gastric bypass. Perhaps I missed something?

He does the traditional DS. He only does it open, though. I have my op report at home if you need to see it.

Thanks, @Psychomom ! I'll trust you on the op report. If you are in contact with him, you might want to suggest that he discuss the DS on his website. Might get him more business, too.

Dr. Fritz Jean-Pierre
Wellstar Comprehensive Bariatric Services

This is the office where Dr. Dennis Smith worked at until March 2015, when Dr. Jean-Pierre took over the practice. Dr. JP worked with Dr. Smith to learn how to perform the DS properly. I have no idea is he does revisions, because I'm a virgin DS patient.

Does anyone have any info on Dr. Robert Richard in LAWRENCEVILLE GA? He's in the Gwinnett Medical Center for weight loss group. Or any other doc in GA to do sleeve to DS? Thanks.

Dr. Jean-Pierre at Kennestone Hospital in Marietta might do a conversion. I know that he does the standard DS.
