Are you still improving? Swelling going down?
Yeap, swelling is going down, bruises (which appeared the day AFTER) are fading...but I am still on soft foods for now. I want to make sure the incisions between my gum and lip on the outside of my teeth are healed before attempting normal food. I see him for a followup on Wed.
Saw my oral surgeon today...next appt is a year from now! And ONLY because I still have hardware in the upper jaw.

Good news! Congratulations! Hope you are on to solid foods soon!
I've been on mostly solid for awhile now. I have to still be careful, things like CRISPY bacon is an issue but slightly less crispy works. I had pockets on each side of the jaw where the hardware was removed (think a pulled tooth, the empty socket) that I had to be SCRUPULOUS in keeping completely clean. Meant brushing after every meal, even away from home AND using a syringe to make sure nothing got left in there. But those are healed which is why I can NOW wait a year to see him again.
