The first food picture was just the anti-pasta, then the pasta dish was pasta with truffles, pure heaven. I only ate a few bites of pasta the whole time we were there. Most of it was this one, it was sublime!

The day at the Coliseum was so cold, wet and rainy. We had about 3 days of mucking through the drizzle and about 3 days of sunshine, not too bad for a mid-March trip.

You look even more amazing than the food!
(But did I spy stuffed and fried zucchini flowers next to the calamari???)

Thank you! Yes, that is zucchini flowers. It was the first time I had tasted zucchini flowers, very flavorful. It was a shock to find the anchovy in the middle. We had such amazing food the entire trip. The food truly exceeded my expectations. I would crawl back just for some tomato soup. The best on earth!!

that's a pretty cherry umbrella you have there.

love the photos, you look fantastic!! but now I'm hungry :p

Oh wow - memories - both of food and places! And you look wonderful!
By the way, I discovered that the pasta in Italy did NOT make me nearly as gassy as here - I think because it was almost always fresh. It is pasta that has been rehydrated and then CHILLED that kills me the worst. http://digestivehealthinstitute.org/2013/05/10/resistant-starch-friend-or-foe/

I really only had a few bites at any one time so, no worries about the pasta. One thing I learned, do not eat fruit and oat meal for breakfast then get on a plane. Uncomfortable.

The umbrella was a "Target" find. The rest of the tour group loved it because they could spot the group so easily by my umbrella.

We spent last April in Europe, and I love "revisiting" some of the places with others through their pictures. You look fabulous by the way! Could you imagine doing all that walking and exploring before your DS?
