My surgery date is coming up on 9/26 in NJ with Dr. Greenbaum to add the 2nd half of the DS! Currently doing the pre-op liver shrinking diet between now and two days before surgery. Just clears the day before. Can't wait to wake up on the other side!
Just recovering from surgery in the hospital will be a welcome break from the stress I've been dealing with at home. Mom has mild cognitive impairment and has moved in with us, my husband lost his job last month, my kids are stressed because of my Mom's dementia, my pre-op chest x-ray led to a CT scan that found two "very tiny" nodules on my lungs, work has been busy, my heel spur is killing me, and my back pain is daily (from an accident we had 2+ years ago). So yeah, major open abdominal surgery and a week in the hospital should be a nice break! LOL
