Underlying Condition and Covid Vaccine

I just received a letter from my DS hospital that they consider me to have an underlying condition so I would be eligible when NY expands the parameters, on 2/15/21, for those who are eligible to receive vaccines. Many years ago one of my doctors mentioned to me that the DS could be considered an underlying condition so I guess that's why the hospital website selected me. The only issue is I no longer live in NYC and you need to show proof of residence, so I guess it's a nice thing but nothing will come of it.

Good to know, though, and maybe something similar will be in place in your current area of residence!

Right now we only have the NYS website to go to and that's either down or appts. filled. So I'm hoping for the CVS, Walgreen's, etc., or some other hospital where I have a Doctor will come through.
