I'm sorry, Liz, hope your symptoms are light and over soon.

I didn't weigh, but about the same. my blood pressure was stupid high a bunch this past week and I have an appointment with my NP tomorrow morning.

Meanwhile, I cut way back on salt - knew that needed to be done since I was craving it, and overall it's not too hard to do - and caffeine which is VERY hard to do.

sigh. it's almost as if we can't just eat or drink whatever we want.

I’m sorry your BP is up. Try meditating while they are taking your pressure. It helps me.

That's really hard 🫶🏻 I'm sorry. Liz taught me to deep breath while they were taking my BP at the Doctor office and to ignore them when they are talking to me while doing the BP, until after it's done. (That was raising my BP and I had no idea. It was giving a false high) I hope it's back in the normal range soon.

I'm starting to think I (may) be a slow loser, but I'm not sure of the criteria. I've been judging myself because I see others in my same time frame losing a lot more weight than myself. I'm not able to exercise yet because I have to enroll in Fit Rx first, hopefully by December I can do that. Insurance won't cover it. (Fit Rx is required by my electrophysiologist to be able to go to the gym, because my POTS symptoms are severe at this time)

last time (assumed) 152 ish
today 153

I weighed at the gym so I can keep track again.

someone else might better know if you are losing slowly or not, but I can tell you that exercise should not be about getting smaller, it should be about health so I hope you can get what you need to be able to exercise how and where you want to.

while you are waiting, are there things you can safely do at home? gentle stretch, range of motion, walking, whatever movement is safe. you can search youtube for ideas that would work: gentle movement, seated exercises, etc.

sorry to hear the POTS is so bad, that has to be very hard.

I took some Mucinex this morning about 9:30, didn’t know it was extended release.it hit me right in the middle of Church. I was yawning so hard, doing my best to not fall asleep. Only had two tablets, I’ll take the other tonight. What I got today isn’t extended release.

I'm hoping to get out of the boot by Thanksgiving. I've been making more of an effort to focus on protein, as I kind of fell off for a bit.

We had to take hubby to the ER Wednesday night, which ended with him needing emergency surgery to remove his appendix. He had a bad reaction to the pain medication, so it's been rough on everyone. The whole thing triggered a PTSD episode for him, so we're trying to get him help with that so he can finally get some rest and heal. I'm worn out and just done with this year.

Sounds like us. We are so over this year.

I'm so sorry, how stressful for everyone. I hope you both can get what you need.

Thank you 🫶🏻 I have been doing my self lymphatic massage (severe lymphedema in 3 limbs) and all the exercises she gave to me which are similar to "muscle pumping" and gentle stretching too. I figured some movements is much better than zero movement.
