Well I said I was going to come here to hold myself accountable. I wasn't home to weigh. I must have some swelling going on and off obviously because last Friday when I got to Dr. K I WAS SHOCKED :omg: when I weighed in at 160. I took one of my diuretics last week and this morning the scale says 149. Hey I'll take it as long as a sister ain't dehydrated. But the reality is I know I haven't lost no 11 pounds in a week even though like 4 people asked have I lost weight Sunday at church. My daughter asked me mom are you getting sick again you lost weight and looking kind of small.

Thanks! I don't see how I can eat more. I get so full easily.
Eat less MORE OFTEN! Even if it's just a cheese stick or a slice of meat (deli type is easy) or a deviled egg or a hard boiled egg or a piece of jerky...just eat OFTEN. At least every 1-2 hours.

Depressing. I'm 10 months out and this is the first month I actually gained. My food hasn't been great, but better than it has been some months. I fear I may be nearing the end of my DS honeymoon 26 pounds short of a normal 25 BMI.
Mark, I had a couple of months toward the end of my initial weight loss where I gained instead of lost...and I still lost all I needed to lose. (NOW if I could just do it again that easy, LOL).
Hello friends
LW: 133.5
TW: 133

I've been pretty stressed at work. Working from home is not easy nor is working for a friend. I find I work well over the 20 hours a week I was hired for. I can't help myself I do not want to let her down. And the politics in the Education field are ridiculous. I'm not used to the catty attitude of some of these women. I am a very direct professional. I don't like passive aggressive BS. Sorry thanks for listening!

Have a great week all!

Best

Sorry that it's become stressful. Working for family or friends is very hard. As for your weight, it's holding stead.

Stayed the same...Good otherwise.

BTW, this past Friday, Oct 7th, was my one year surgiversary!! Started the pre-op diet at 360, had surgery at 306 and now I'm at 172. All of my 'numbers' - blood pressure, cholestral, etc, are perfect. Labs are stable and in range. No more medication of any kind (just lots of vitamins!); no more CPAP machine; no more knee brace or cane (though still bone-on-bone so will need a new knee at some point); no more seat belt extenders or worrying about which chair to sit in. Just staying focused on protein and health and living life. DS was truly the best decision I've made for me in a very long time! Thanks to everyone on this board for your wisdom and support and for sharing this journey. Looking forward to year two!

Have a great week everyone!
Happy surgiversary! And those are wonderful NSV's.

Things are going well, gotta find some long pants that fit, I really dislike baggy jeans!
You are doing good...just keep at it. As for pants, I did a lot of thrift stores til I found brands I liked best and that fit the way I wanted them to fit.

Assuming I'm losing muscle mass. I am currently limited to isometric exercises 3x/day which are at least something, but I am reverting to 'stickgirl.' I am looking forward to rebuilding my lost muscle at the gym when I finally heal from this nightmare.
When I was putting my pants on last Sunday, I heard and felt a 'crunch, pop' in my hip. No pain, in fact, my super tight calf muscle which had been preventing me from walking normally, released! It's been great since then! Yahoo!!!!!
Now to get the feeling back in my foot and back of thigh. I am feeling some improvement.
Disneyland in a week! Have a scooter lined up at the hotel.

Have a great week!
I started reading that sentence about the crunch pop and was cringing...thinking oh no, not again. But that is GREAT news. I hope you still had it checked?

Have fun at Disneyland.
Don't remember exact weight last week but I am 176 this week.

FYI: It is looking like I will be getting my colectomy on the 27th. I just have to firm up with Kristina tomorrow.
Still hanging in the 170's. Let us know when the surgery is all lined up. We need to keep tabs on you.
Still 82.2 kg this week (181 lbs).

A big NSV today: I am officially off all medications (for both blood pressure and elevated liver enzymes)!
YEAH!!! Love that NSV! As far as weight, you are still doing great. Many of us stair step our way down.

Yeah, as long as it isn't dehydration or anything like that...you need to STAY healthy!

Yes, Yes, Yes! It was the antibiotics. On Sunday I stepped on the scale and I was up a pound. Yesterday I was down that pound and today I was down 3.5 pounds. I knew the scale owed me some weight - had a stall, then, not much weight loss, then, I gained. And now I'm down. I'm 7 weeks out and 30% to goal. So happy!!!
