What the HELL are y'all doing to the wet jets? I have had mine for at least 6 years. I only know this because I had it for a long time at our old house and we have been in this house for 5 1/2 years. I have had to replace the batteries one time. I love it to clean up spills and do my daily mopping with. I do use Bona floor cleaner and mop (I don't know how to post links and such).

I use it a couple...three...times a week. In this new house, it's almost all carpeting. We have about 1900 sq ft, and maybe 250 of that is tile. So spills and why-are-my-feet-so-dirty mopping.

When mine have broken, it has been a matter of the spray not working unless you hold the handle in EXACTLY the right spot. An eighth of an inch off and it won't work!

I want a free one now, dammit!!

Mop the ******* floor with detergent, a mop and a bucket. No batteries should be involved in any stage of the proceedings. It should not require a receipt.

And stop going into that bloody store where the creepy 20 year old bloke hit on me....that place is just weird...

I am not allowed to wash His Majesty's cherry floors, because I won't do it "right." I raise a weak protest now and then, for the sake of plausible deniability. I occasionally will half-heartedly wipe up a spill *I* made, just to show I can. So far, so good.

Well, I called customer service.

Seems that people who own a Wet Jet and are NOT idiots, sometimes check the batteries when the thing stops working.

DUH!

I hate it when I'm the *******.

But they are sending me a coupon to replace the first one, because it didn't work and it had a solution leak somewhere.

Batteries.........batteries to wash a floor.......

Shakes head......batteries..........

If you are considering alternatives, I highly, highly recommend the Shark Steam Mop. The cleaning pads are reusable and go straight into the washing machine. It cleans well with just water. We've had ours for a couple of years. It is the Professional model.

I have another steamer...that KIRMY made me buy to fight C-Diff! It's a Haan, whatever that means. I've seen some reviews (by people who got one or the other free?) and decided that I liked the fact that the Haan converts to a handheld steamer for counters, stoves, tubs, that kind of thing. I got mine at Costco or Kohls...I don't remember which.
