Roo, do you have any tingling in your hand? Pins and needles sensation? That's what I started getting over a year after my injury. Then the feeling came back, but slowly. Did you get into physical therapy for the hand? Get referred to a neurologist? Get it diagnosed?
Love seeing your photos. The psoriasis going away is really noticeable. I can literally SEE your blood pressure going down in the progression of photos. You have much to be proud of.
Well admitting injury during surgery would mean sod all here. He did mention referring me but would have meant another week + in hospital. I wanted out so bad I didn't care what I had to say or do. My GP wil hook me upWell, in MY experience, the "zaps" and pins and needles were a good sign. When I told the doctor about that, he told me that was the nerves regenerating. But that was 20-odd years ago, when my father had his first heart surgery in 1988 or so.
Maybe your surgeon is reluctant to refer you for PT because it could be construed as admitting injury during surgery? IDK, but it's not a valid reason to withhold treatment. Get another doctor to refer you if he won't. I'd also consult with a chiropractor, and a nerve specialist. Something could be out of place and pinching a nerve.
I mean, times a wasting here. Guitars to play, and all.
