PCP after WLS

Hi. I had RNY 2 weeks ago. At the hospital they Said to make an appt. with my PCP 2 weeks later. I did so and now I am wondering what exactly should he be going over with me? I know I will need to discuss my diabetes med. But is there anything else that should be addressed? Thanks

With your PCP, make sure he/she is willing to pull labs if needed. And go over all your medications, not just diabetes. You may need others adjusted.

Altho I am surprised they aren't seeing you in the surgeon's office at 2 weeks unless you are out of the area.

I thought I should be in surgeons office too. They gave me a 3 week appt. and I asked about the 2 week deal that is typical. They said the first post op appt caould be a day or two later. grrr
