Thank you all for the positive wishes because they worked! When I woke up from anesthesia I had to pee like no other so that was my first thought and I've been up regularly making short trips to the bathroom and down the hall. Other than being sore I feel really good! Of course this is probably the pain meds speaking lol

I'm very excited and happy. I'll post again soon with details. Now back to sleep lol
Great news. I hope it continues to go well.

you sound like you are doing great! Hell, just the fact you can post and spell! it was a month before i could post and then still couldnt spell. well, ok, still can't spell but you get the idea. :)

Thinking about you and hoping that you're feeling better every day!

Thank you @JuliaDS! I hope you are doing well too!
Thanks @BebeZed. I'm doing well. Good to be home and great to get a full night's sleep without all the beeping and wires and poking and prodding every two hours! I have some pain, but not terrible. Hardest part is drinking all the water which is strange for me as plain water has always been my go to beverage. Now it is like drinking rocks and hits the stomach hard. Hoping this will get better. Meanwhile, sipping and walking and looking forward to progressing to full liquids tomorrow for a change. Keep feeling better!

Try different temps, add some flavor, you will find it gets easier as time goes by. Water tasted UGH my first few weeks, thankfully it was Jan so I lived off plain broth for a long time.

Congratulations on your surgery. My best wishes to you for your success.

Thanks @southernlady. Will try different temps. Not enjoying artificial sweet flavors at all (make me gag) but broth has been a big help. I made and froze chicken broth before surgery and my daughter-in-law made me a big pot of beef bone broth yesterday so I have plenty to get me through the next week or so. Broth goes down much better than water for some reason.
