One on dh's side...by marriage. His cousin's wife's dad was up in a tree trimming it and fell out and he died from his fall.

My cousin (related thru my grandfather...his brother's daughter in law) died last night. Her health had been failing for several years.
Mary Stuart Hatch Taylor, was one of the first ordained women elders in the PCUSA, breaking barriers for all that were to come. How fitting that she pass on the day the church breaks one more barrier, finally ratifying the right to preform marriages between two people, no matter who they are marrying. Posted by her granddaughter.
Oh dear, that's a lot for one day. I'm sorry.

Well, we had the visitation on Thursday (on our way home from Knoxville, dh had an appt with the one doc we aren't replacing) for dh's cousin.

The one on my side, her memorial service is next Sat at the church she was a charter member AND their first female elder. It's the one I grew up in and so many of the people there knew me fat...should be an interesting one.

I don't want to say "have a good time" because you have experienced a loss: but it is nice to see people you haven't seen in awhile.
