You should be able to get the hiatal and abdominal hernias with Prachand and at the same time. Just one thing to know going in, the ventral hernia repair I had was the most painful surgery I have ever had. Dr K intially thought he was going to have to do component separation on me which is full abdominal wall reconstruction but when I got out to see him he said he though a laproscopic repair might be better. I thought well that is great because I don't want laid wide open if I don't have to be an lap will be a breeze. WRONG. That 8 x 10 hunk of mesh is secured with basically a cross between a plastic rivet and a screw. When I woke up they were going to send me home (freaking insurance makes them do it outpatient unless Dr documents insufficient pain control) and I said um no, hell no. So Dr K admitted me like I knew he would. When I got to my room and got up to walk later that evening, holy cow I took one and a half steps and said to the nurse if I go any further I won't make it back. She called Dr K and got the pain meds upped and he added torridol the next morning which really helped the inflammation and when he came in he said, yeah you aren't going anywhere today. I spent 2 nights I think. In any case, it was worth it and better now but man it hurt.

Regarding consulting Dr K. I am sure he would consider your DS revision and could do all of the repairs at once. When I recommended a consult I meant over the phone and mainly for his guidance on potential or revision and limb lengths, not actually traveling. He can review testing and make recommendations before you decided to do anything...just informational up front.. That being said I am sure Pracande or Alvedy could do your DS hiatal hernia repair (you don't have that much stomach left to wrap so it does need to be an experience DS surgeon) and ventral hernia repairs.

Best of luck to yiou
