Insurance change?!

Ok. So I have submitted all
Of my stuff to insurance to be approved for the revision to DS. Now we just found out my husbands insurance is changing may 1st. They are going to Cigna (who Dr. k is not contracted with) so best case scenario would be out of network benefits IF his new company policy still covers bariatrics? Do I have any other recourse if it's not approved and able to be done prior to the change?

I'm not sure - if you submit under your current plan and get approved, I think Cigna has to honor it - but you would need to get a copy of both your old and new policies (Evidence of Coverage) to know that. It wouldn't hurt to try to get a quick approval and try that.

Yeah. Submitted already... It's been 7 business days. They were closed today. Hoping they will come back and approve it and Dr K can get me in ASAP. I'm just concerned if they deny and we have to appeal. I've only got about 45 days until the new insurance will kick in and I don't know if they will offer bariatrics.
