I'm on the liver transplant list!

I'm starting to have all the symptoms I did before when I got in trouble. My daughter move back home two weeks ago so I told her I'm going to go to the ER Friday if I'm not feeling better and things are getting better so she's like I don't know why you won't go and why you won't be honest and tell us the truth. I said truth about what and she said the doctor told us that your liver was not working and that they were placing you on the liver transplant list. News to me. Anyone have an explanation for why when I was sick my liver appeared to or was not working. How do you find out if you are on such a list?

Charris, find out which doctor told your daughter that information. And then call and ask him!

I'm going to go into the hospital paperwork on line when I get to work. I'm hoping it is just a wrong diagnosis before Dr. K got on the case and got them on the appropriate track.

She said it was the hospitalist. She says that's what all my family still thinks. I was so mentally out of it the only thing I remember is waking up and 15 to 20 family standing around me crying. It all makes sense now. No wonder they told them I wouldn't make it make arrangements. But if I did need one I was told that the liver can regenerate itself so I could get a piece of someones? Everything makes sense my daughter just up and move back home. SMH

Your PCP should be able to find out what in the hell is going on. I would ask him...

I can't believe you would be on something so important as a liver transplant list and not know about it. Ask your doctor of course but I very much doubt you are on that list.

Well I have calls out now to find out. Hopefully I will hear something soon. My daughter showed me the pages they gave her to read about it. The doctor told her my liver stopped because of the years of taking pain medication. I'm almost sure it probably was my diagnosis before Dr. K stepped in and told them how to treat me. Wouldn't need to give blood every month if I were on the transplant list. Scary had Dr. K not been involved would they really have given me a freaking liver transplant?

By the way, when he isn't doing DSs, Dr. John Rabkin is a liver transplant surgeon. I wouldn't do ANYTHING liver-ish without consulting him.

Somehow.....in my "pea brain", this is not adding up?? I will be SO hoping that you are just missing some key pieces of this puzzle and are just missing some key facts and only getting bits and pieces.
