And here I thought I was genetically unique because I never heard of anyone else being allergic to paper tape!

There are meds for itching other than Benadryl. Atarax comes to mind, and I'm sure there must be others as well. Next time...if there is a next time....ask/demand something for the inevitable itching that won't get you jailed.

I used a steriod cream to help clear mine up the last time.

This is the photo I show doctors/nurses who don't want to believe my paper tape allergy, they tend to believe me then.

That makes my tape reaction from back in the day when I tried to make spit-curls look like NOTHING - jeez that looks miserable!!

I occasionally get a weird itch thing on my thighs, legs and butt from walking out in the cold - once it gets started, it is unstoppable, and spreads. The other day, Charles and I took our first extended walk - about a mile - to the local Subway shop to buy dinner - it was late afternoon and getting a little chillly. By the time we got home, I was clawing at myself and made some nice bruises.

Strange, I'm also allergic to adhesives, including both tape and dermabond, which presents a surgical challege. Looks like we could start a tape allergy club.

In any case @Spiky Bugger , here's to hoping your edema is not due to cardiac causes, but rather something wonderful, like a bacon deficiency! Hope you are no longer itching away!

Yes...a bacon deficiency! That's it!

Thanks.
