If you are stuck with just NSAIDs, at least ask for a script for Toradol. It can be given orally, it's just that a lot of formularies don't include it because it's more expensive than Motrin and the other more commonly used NSAIDs.
 
Wow that's SCARY.

Second the idea of Toradol. Even better if you can slip Percocet back in as you may have had a strong reaction when anesthesia hadn't cleared your system.

Toradol can be alternated with Percocet. Both scripts are supposed to last 6 hours (ha!!). Take Percocet hour 1, Toradol hour 3, Percocet hour 6, Toradol hour 9, etc. Works pretty well for acute kidney stone pain so hopefully should work for post-surgery pain.
