This is his truck. Someone saw the wreck and pulled him out just seconds before it caught on fire. Did I also mention he had a handgun in the glove compartment? I've developed emotional boundaries with my family. Both he and my mom had several suicide attempts. If I didn't have my own support system, I can't imagine living with the reality of my family history. Of course, years and years of psychological counseling helped as well. The support I get here goes way beyond WLS. I am forever grateful for everyone here.

If I didn't know the story, I would look at that wreck and figure that no one got out alive. He has been given a second (or third, or twenty-third, or whatever number it is) chance, and I hope he makes the most of it.

I'm hoping it will his last traumatic event. It seems to me that if this doesn't open his eyes to make changes, it'll never happen.
