HAPPY BIRTHDAY, USA!

Just finished prepping the food for our BBQ dinner out here in the RV park in Paso Robles. Filet mignon, sausage stuffed mushrooms, skewers with pineapple, onion and bell pepper, drizzled with balsamic glaze, fresh corn, stripped down, silks removed, buttered and salted with Tajin, and red, white and blue potatoes. That should take care of lunch tomorrow too!

A happy and safe 4th to all. Don't set any fires (especially those of you out here in the west), or blow your fingers off - you need them for eating!

@DianaCox your dinner sounds great. Hope it tasted as good as it sounds.

We did two steaks on the grill...found some Jim Beam flavored bacon wrapped filets at Costco this week and at 5 oz pre cooked, one each worked great. Normally dh and I share a steak but most are way bigger than 5 oz. And we did some Bush's Baked Beans (one of our own DS'ers works there). Found this one: http://www.bushbeans.com/en_US/product/bourbon-and-brown-sugar EXCELLENT taste! And of course, some peach cobbler.
