someone just posted that she passed away yesterday during a revision surgery.
How horribly sad..
Does anyone know her?

I know OF her...I was looking back, she posted in early December that she was going in to have her common channel lengthen since she wasn't absorbing micronutrients...and I am guessing she didn't want to try to fix it without going under the knife. I feel so sorry for her husband and kids. She never actually admitted who her surgeon was but she lived in New York City area.

In the last post she made in DS Family, she was given all kinds of advice but blew off most of it...it was like revision was the only option she was willing to consider...the other options required work on her part. She was asked who her surgeon was but never answered.

@Jen-2, I think the Duodenal Switch Patients FB group is worth joining. Quite a few people from here (vets too) are on it.
