This is a great thread and it is so interesting learning about everyone. I can remember from being only 3 years old that I just wanted to escape my family. Life and childhood was not happy. My mom was a teenage mother, my father not interested and my grandparents on my mom's side tried to help raise me the best they could. I remember wanting to escape and live in California and have an exciting life like movie stars did, they all seemed so happy and content. Then I wanted to be a karate champ (thank you karate kid) and then a writer, then a marine biologist and then a psychologist and I wanted to be a wife and mother. I am not a wife and unfortunately the time has passed for me to have biological children of my own. I did many years later move to California and then Oregon and it was like coming home for me. I really do love the west coast, even though I have since moved back to my hometown. I did take karate for a while and loved it, but family things kept me from continuing, so I hope once the weight is off to go back to it. I help animals but marine biologist is out as science is not something I am good at. I did get my associates degree in psychology and I am working now towards the goal of psychologist or at least a therapist with a masters. I have done some freelance writing. As for the life of a movie star, mine is far from it, but being a teenager in the 80's got me a glimpse into that life, as I was big into the hair bands, Bon Jovi is my favorite and well I got to follow around and meet many bands, no groupie here, I was a name not a number and met people who were in with the bands and got a glimpse into what their lives were like and I realized they were just like me, just had a more exciting job and money, but they had way more issues and problems that fame and money could not solve. I have found my pursuing what makes me happy, I am fulfilling my adult dreams as well as my childhood ones.
