Scallops look wonderful! My go-to meal in Paris was escargot with crusty bread to sop up garlic butter and Wine (of course). Those scallops would have been perfect tiny-tummy sized. Wish I'd seen them!

Enjoy!

good for you!

Alors!
I'm glad you are enjoying the food so much but I also want to see photos of outside. you know, when you have time.

:)

Coquilles St. Jacques? I've only ever had them in Paris, on one visit. The restaurant was gone when I went back years later, and I've never seen them again. To die for.

Oh, I love Paris, and love eating in Paris. So jealous right now.

Just a heads up, if you are leaving via charles de gaulle airport, make sure you MULTIPLE HOURS extra to leave, since that is what it's been adding to get through immigration or passport check. We were delayed by almost 4 hours last month, making that extra hour+ that we thought we had, useless. It's been a real issue there, and only getting worse.

I have an EU passport (UK...so EU for now!). If it's anything like coming in, it should be OK - but thanks for the heads up!

Oui! The restaurant was Les Cocottes near the Eiffel Tower. I had done about six hours walking by that point and was ready to treat myself. There may have been a slightly champagne-tipsy hour of walking back along the Seine in the sunshine to my hotel near the Sorbonne.

This was a little restaurant next to hotel on the Right Bank near Notre Dame. Maybe Rue Du Reynard? Near Rue De Rivoli. I went there twice on that trip, for the same meal - which was appetizer size. One of the most delicious things I've ever tasted.

For the others - the stuff next to the scallops is the scallop roe.

Looks scrumptious. Paris is a lot of fun and obviously absolutely awesome culinary scene. Enjoy!
