It was family gathering night. We gave our eight-year-old friend an LOL Surprise Neon something. $39.99 on sale for $29.99.

Apparently, it was a hit. She is playing with it/them (unknown genders at this point) and promising to cherish these memories forever. Thing is, I have no idea what the excitement is about. Does anyone know?

Also, I think the good pastor needs to grow TF up:

I do not - they seem ugly. yes, the pastor needs to get over it.

Well as long as there is pontificating going on... Never having heard of these, I did a quick search. The cheapest I found was $7.00+/-. Maybe instead of being all upset about anatomically correct dolls, he should be concerned with the avarice that leads a child to have "hundreds" of these things.

K9 is absolutely correct. If by "hundreds" he means 200, and if they are on sale for $30 each, I do believe that's $6000 dollars worth of dolls. That's asinine and horrific that a grandchild of a pastor should own such a mass of crap that could be feeding the hungry.

They have different price ranges, from what k9ophile said at $7 to well over $100. We got her this nonsense... which is ultra rare because, get this...it is sold only at Target. Yup.

I think some of the cheaper ones have multiple tiny doll things. But, there is zero reason for a kid to have this much ****.

"Our" kiddo had to get rid of old stuff before she could even ASK for new and clearing space was no guarantee that new toys would arrive. (But NOT clearing space WAS a guarantee that nothing new would arrive. This is because her mother and maternal grandmother are hoarders. Grandma worse than Mommy. But when you have to sleep with Mommy, when it's your time at Mommy's house, because there's stuff all over your room and on your bed at Mommy's house...you need to learn that there are other ways to live.)
