Unable to vomit after DS (due to the sleeve part)?

Is it normal to be unable to vomit after having DS or sleeve gastrectomy? It's been 14 years since the surgery and my stomach has expanded. A while back I was feeling a lot of nausea and had very powerful heaves but though there was food in my stomach, nothing came out.

Many have said they are unable to vomit post surgery. I’ve only had one bout of vomiting in 13 years. I’ve had a couple of bouts of foaming where I felt like I was going to but didn’t.

I can’t. What comes out is thick mucus.

I have been able to vomit but it wasn't easy and more unpleasant than before I had the VSG. luckily I don't often have any nausea!

Though rare, when my kiddos bring home a stomach flu these days I vomit exactly the same way as before DS.

I haven't heard about this before. I have still been able to vomit, which is not something I thought I'd be telling people, lol.
