Scott and Dianne lost Cameron yesterday

Im so sorry for Scott and his wife. They just can't catch a break. I cannot even imagine the pain they are enduring. You are in my prayers.

Scott & Dianne - I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Cameron sounded like such an amazing young man; your posts showed how much you loved and admired him. I can’t even imagine what you and your family are going through. All the best.

Thank you Liz I was just coming here to make a post. I haven't been around here much lately but so many of you are dear people to me. Losing Cameron hurts so much and we are just devastated. This is the post I shared on FB:

We are receiving too many questions and messages of love so I have to post this. Yesterday we experienced the most difficult thing a parent can or loving partner can ever go through. Dianna and I are devastated to tell you that yesterday at 1 PM Cameron left this cruel world. Along with the love of his life, Cassie, we (Dianna, Collin and Britney) were with Cameron when he gently moved on.
Thank you to our family who came to the hospital and helped us through our horrible day. We love all of you.
There was an event that caused his heart to stop and the Neurologist who told us it was over said it was either a pulmonary embolism, and from an initial scan there was evidence of a large clot in a major artery to his brain that would have also stopped his heart. He would not have survived a scan to verify either case so we don't know for sure, all we know is that he is gone.
Cameron was the kindest, most loving, most energetic person with the strongest zeal for living life that I've ever known. The terrible hand he was dealt in life with his health was also a huge reason that he had such a love for living life to its fullest. Even after his battle with cancer and 30 major surgeries, yes 30, and countless other health struggles he still had such a positive outlook on life.
Cameron had recently graduated from the University of Illinois Springfield with a degree in MIS. He was also in the Masters of MIS program at UIS. He did all of this while doing a full time internship at Cat and then in his job as a business analyst at State Farm(he loved this job and was doing so well). Cameron deserved so much better than life gave him, but he was a fighter and nothing ever kept him down. My sweet little boy, your Mother and I love you so much and now have a huge hole in our hearts that I am not sure will ever heal.

Oh Scott, I never met Cameron and I'm in tears just reading this. So very, very sorry. Cameron was dealt a very tough hand and deserved so much more. My heart goes out to you and Dianne and all who loved him.

Hi Larra,

Thank you my friend. We are absolutely crushed and just trying to figure out how to live life without him. Cameron was not only my son but he was a special friend. We talked or chatted almost everyday. I am happy that the last time we spoke I told him that I loved him. I feel absolutely horrible for his girlfriend Cassie because they loved each other so much and were talking about marriage. Dianna and I have each other, Collin has Britney but now Cassie doesn't have anyone to share her life with. I have told her that she will always be part of our family and that if she ever needs a second Father I would be glad to have her as my daughter.i hope she finds someone who makes her happy.

The good news is that our other son and his significant other are going to be giving us a Granddaughter the day after Christmas or around then. We just went to their shower today.

Scott, they are a cute couple, and I'm so glad they are together and that your family will soon have a new source of joy. Nothing ever replaces the one lost, but I hope you will take the good that life offers along with the bad.

Scott and Dianne, I am so sorry for your loss. I've enjoyed reading about him here and know that he must have known how loved and special he was. I can't even imagine your grief. My condolences to you, your family and all who had the pleasure of knowing Cameron. May his memories be a blessing and may the coming arrival of your granddaughter bring you renewed hope and joy.
