I am one day post-plastic surgery and will be staying at the hospital until Sunday (2/16) as I traveled on my own to Monterrey, MX. Yesterday, I had a brachioplasty and lower body lift with no lipo or muscle repair. I am doing very well and switched to Tylenol this afternoon. I’m trying very hard to be still and am watching Netflix shows on my iPad. I also just had my catheter removed, which went fine except when I stood up at the beginning and the hose disconnected from the urine bag and contents leaked out. Thankfully housekeeping was able to clean up the bed & floor right away. I’ve now gone to the bathroom on my own - yippee, progress! My surgeon told me to make sure to walk like a 90 year old woman, which isn’t that hard right now. LOL. I forgot to ask him how much skin he removed/weighed but I’m guessing probably not that much as I am pretty slim (5’8” 127 lbs). He was also going to take some pics during surgery and he still needs to send me the ones he took during markup pre-surgery. I’m really looking forward to a new belly button (which I’ve always hated) and one that doesn’t frown at me, along with the loss of other rolls; plus to have my butt lifted and no more shrinkles on my backside! The doc said my arms turned out really well so I’m super excited about that as I’ve never liked my arms (aka noisy bat wings), even when I was young and thin.

P.S. I took this photo this afternoon and am shocked how sun damaged my neck & chest look, which is not the case in real life. Perhaps I need another round of Fraxel laser resurfacing to improve my décolletage or a newer iPhone!!!

You had a good deal of surgery. Keep your pain under control, and be careful of narcotic constipation. You look beautiful!

And the scars fade away to nothing. My TT and mastopexy scars are invisible, except for the skin above my TT that pooches slightly with regain.

I found that lightly scratching crosswise on the scar (after its all healed) helps bring nerve sensation back. If that bothers you.

Take it slow and easy, and dont sneeze!

I just had my first bowel movement this afternoon! It was plentiful and easy to pass. I went off narcotics the day after surgery and have just been taking a little Ultram (tramadol) and Tylenol. It only hurts if I move around, which I shouldn’t be doing; therefore, by not dulling the pain, it helps me not overdo it. I also didn’t want to get constipated for days so that motivated me to not take pain killers too. Thanks for all your well wishes and compliments!
