Itchy back

Hi all,

Ever seen I had WLS, my back - mostly on the right side - has been itchy. I talked to my PCP about it and there is no rash and my skin is just fine.

Dr thought it might be liver releasing whatever the liver releases when you loose weight.

Anyone had any idea on this?

Dry skin? Mild case of contact dermatitis? Maybe time to see a dermatologist.

When my zinc was low, I developed an impressive itchiness without rash on my lower legs, both sides. More zinc, less itch. But yours is only on one side? If he thinks it's the liver, I hope he did blood tests to rule it out! I vote for the dematologist too.

Interesting . I have never heard of liver causing skin itching but you never know. My skin in general is dry so I am always itching scratching .
