And I quote from my recent EGD: The esophagus emptied into a small gastric remnant as is usual with gastric bypass. The exit from this small gastric remnant, however, appeared to be a long stapled off tube of stomach.

Perhaps I should have given the doctor a picture of the DS.

I told him I'd had the DS. He's on staff at the same hospital that Dr. Spaw and Husted practiced in Nashville. I thought I certainly could not be the first DS he scoped. Plus he acted as if he knew what a DS was. No harm, no foul yet lesson learned: Give every doc a picture of the DS and if that's taken as an insult to their vast medial knowledge, it's not my problem.
