I’m here. Falling COMPLETELY apart. Might have some answers Thursday and even more next month. Nothing seems life-threatening at the moment, except for my smart ass comment to the neurologist:

If this is as good as it gets, I may be as old as I get.

Please keep us informed. Let us know if we can help.

I'm sorry! and sure I'm not alone in wondering, is there anything we can do to help? I mean we will listen to any venting for sure, but anything else?

I don’t think so, but thank you!

I’m pretty sure the pain and blood are a “new” kidney stone, more so after the ultrasound. The tech has been there forever and he is good about not telling me what he’s found. But the conversation went like this:

Him: Do you have a follow up appointment scheduled?
Me: Yes.
Him: SOON?
Me: Yes, Thursday.
Him: That’ll work.

So, he saw something that he wanted the Dr or PA to see fairly soon.

THIS JUST IN:

Re GI issues…Cholestyramine in lemonade is not as putrid as Cholestyramine in yogurt, however it is still putrid. (I’m also on Flagyl and Lomotil.) But it helps. Do you know the Bristol Chart? Getting UP to Six was a big deal.

Re Uro issues…So, it’s apparently nothing. The 7mm stone (I thought it was 9mm) is behaving. The peeing blood thing was probably passing a stone big enough to cause a little damage but not big enough to hurt (hurt someone already on oxycodone and ibuprofen) (but I have to stop the ibuprofen because it can contribute to the GI Bristol 7 problem.)

ETA: Oops! There WERE white cells, but it’s hard to do a good UA when the goofy patient can only provide 2ccs of urine. They will TRY.

Re Neuro issues: I think I’m adjusting to the 75 mg of Lyrica tid. It is, of course, not enough, and as we titrate on up, each increase will require adjusting. So lots of sleeping and some blurred vision and I’m sure hungry.

Re Dental issues: I’ve had a crown prep. The rest of the work will be Monday…at 7:00 am. That’s because I excused myself from the endodontist’s office because of my back. I had already spent two hours in their not-so-comfy seating and it was going to be 45 min until he could start my one hour procedure and then we could drive home for half an hour. I opted out.

So there..head to toes. Everything is falling TF apart at the same time. But y’all asked (thank you) and I finally got well enough to answer. Now, I shall go collapse.

Oh lordy, not another kidney stone.

I suppose it's fitting that my PCP has the Bristol Stool poster in his office bathroom. It haunted me for a few days.
