Well, apparently cutting out delicious Italian pastries causes me to gain weight? I haven't had much appetite this week - probably stress, as I had a presentation leading up to my big mid-term presentation in July - so going to focus on actually eating and focusing on protein, especially something more than a coffee for breakfast. Summer has hit here, so nice to be able to enjoy my walking commute (~4.5 miles a day) though with storms forecast all this week maybe not!

In lbs, you stayed stable.

Last weigh in: 197.2
This week 194.6

The trip to/from my hometown went reasonably well. Discovered after we'd been doing stuff with my sister's family for the first day that she'd just gotten Covid 2 weeks ago and at least two other folks in her household had gotten infected since. She has several small kids so there's a decent chance one or more of them might have still been contagious (she was the only one who got tested). So that was joyful. We're fully vaccinated as is my 70 year old father and his spouse but it was still stressful. I was livid, but they're antivaxxer/antimaskers so I shouldn't have expected better. Fortunately the wife and I were tested late this week and came back negative. Definitely not in hurry to visit again.

Good on the drop.
I don’t blame you for being livid. I hope it passes by you, the wife, and your dad/his spouse.

I would think everything in Italy would make me gain weight, they seem to have a lot of my favorite food. :p

last time I weighed:
I weighed myself this week and I am down, but I forget how much. but I am low 130s now instead of mid 130s.

this week: 132 a flabby and stiff 132 (way too much tummy pooch) but I'll take it.

southernlady Liz, are you feeling any better?

Last Week: 229
This Week: 226

I was hoping to get to wonderland before we leave for vacation the first of July, but at 3 lbs a week I don't think I am going to make it, but that is okay I'm still going in the right direction.

Yes, frustrated but better. Right now, I’m managing my arthritis with Flexeril to sleep. I’m able to use my Voltaren, and I found one of my triggers for GERD. Tomato soup, I make it with a grilled cheese when I’m tired and out of ideas.
