But "X_nax" is a banned word?
So is another one...P rozac.
X anax? huh, I didn't know we had banned words. Liz?

every other word I type works
Well, when @MsJacquiiC strengthened the spam filter, we had to ban some words since spammers LOVE to post links to those pharmaceuticals that lead to sites we don't need or want due to their tendency to infect computers. It's also why brand new newbies can not post links...you have to have a few posts under your belt first.

V iagra? Just checking. Aha! Wouldn't work either. That's what most of my spam is. And it's banned here, too. LOL,

@ this thread.

As @southernlady mentioned though - we did find it necessary to implement an anti-spam system. It allows for BF Staff to moderate the forum instead of having to moderate automated spambots. And I'm quite happy to say that the system is working much better than I expected actually. We haven't had a single spambot successfully register since the system has been in place.

But yes. We did eliminate some of the more egregious spam words - most of which won't generally be posted about here and are only geared so that spambots can lead you to a Louis V-uitton sale OR porn OR online gaming OR medication that only doctors are authorized to prescribe, etc, etc, etc... Here's the current list btw:

Of course we can reassess our list of blocked terms if/when members legitimately want to discuss them here.
That being said - I have no need of V iagra -- But has anyone a handful of hydrocodone for my achy back?!
