I don’t mean to be a scrooge, but I’m kinda glad Xmas is over. Please don’t take this the wrong way, I do love Xmas and we did have fun, especially with the little one…BUT, just glad it’s over for another year! The only thing left to do is to try figure out where to put or hide all the useless gifts we received. Maybe we'll just “re-gift” some of them again next year! As usual, I got my same yearly Xmas gift, a “pair of socks” and a “piece of ass”, both were too big and I can’t take either one on em back or “re-gift” them! Go figure…

I am kind of relieved the holidays are now over- work is extra stressful for various reasons.

plus, now spring is on the way!

Opposite for me, I always get post-Christmas depression since it's such a huge build up, then it's all over in a flash. Plus it's extra dark without all the Christmas lights :(
But I agree with Jackie, spring is coming and days are getting longer!

I made good on my vow to NOT spend the holiday with the inlaws. The torment they put me through about that put in me in a very rare Scrooge mood, to the point that I didn't even break out any decorations. Mr. EN and I slept late, opened presents from the inlaws that had arrived the day before, went to a movie and had breakfast at Denny's at 10 PM. Very nice :).

Got home and opened email to find the PITA SIL screeching wanting to know if we liked the pressies, did they fit, where are the pictures, what did we do, what did we eat huh huh huh....?!?!?! I dutifully texted photos and thanks to what I thought was her email address, but apparently I messed it up trying to do it from memory, for a couple days later Mr. EN got an email from her fussing because she hadn't heard from me.

Rest of the weekend was totally absorbed with my now-infamous Bonhoeffer paper. DONE AND FINISHED!!!

The inlaw visit is end of January. At least there won't be Christmas ******** involved. I will not be interacting with the SIL, however, unless she pulls her head out of her ass and shows signs of being sorry for being a thorn in my side over the holiday ****.

I pulled everything down on the 28th. It was not exactly the worlds most restful Christmas but I got to be adored by the person that matters the most.

Totally agree! Just wish the decorations would now jump back in their boxes go down the steps and get on the shelf! Oh and @robs477 I got screwed for New Years!:D

LOL…you get the point of my post!!!!…lol At our (my) age, as Tony Soprano says, You “take your pleasures where you can”…!
