@Amey being a bit sad over losing it is understandable. After all, you got it with good intentions to lose weight...and while it is giving you issues, it did SOME of it's originally intended job.

But this is just the first step to your getting a DS...keep your eye on the prize.

Sending positive thoughts your way. The sense of loss will pass and you will be better off without the band.

Sending you lots of good thoughts and hope all went well for you earlier today.

Good luck today (even though you're already probably recovering splendidly)!
I'm right behind you... I say goodbye to my band on Monday! Three cheers for all!

Today is the day. I have to be at the hospital at 11. By tonight I won't have my band anymore. In a way I'm really sad that I'm losing it and scared to death. But I know it's for the best. Wish me luck and say a prayer for me please.
Luck and prayers, Amey. Wishing you a smooth recovery.

Thinking of you Amey and hoping all went well and you're recovering comfortably today. Let us know how you're doing!

Thinking of you! I sure don't miss mine and the muscle spasms I got from the port. Post here and let us know how you are doing when you feel up to it.

I'm home and I think I'm alive. Really really sore.... But the stabbing pain in my back is gone.... Thought that was from working over a desk all day and not my band. I didn't get to keep my band and port... The surgeon said she had to send it to pathology. Bummer! I was told I could be on a normal diet but I don't dare eat anything beyond yogurt and mushy stuff. Even though I feel like crap is not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I don't have any of the carbon dioxide shoulder pain. So.... I'm one step closer to getting my DS yayyyyy!!! Thank you so much for all the support everyone..... It really means a lot!!
