ah, the 1900s...I remember them well.

in fact, my favorite group on goodreads is called "retro reads" and we don't even read stuff past 1980.

nothing newer and we rarely read anything that recent. currently reading Right Ho, Jeeves from 1934.

I'm listening to the audio book and it's just what I need when I am under the weather. it's probably the first shingles shot I had Thursday, right? probably.

I really enjoy reading from between the World Wars and right after WWII, seems like
 
This kinda hit me hard:
There is the same distance between 1970 (the year I turned 17, so I was essentially completely grown, I started college, and thus I have adult memories of that year) and 2022, as between 1970 and 1918 (which was back in the Dark Ages, or when the Earth was still cooling).
