Yah, that sounds more like a cause for obesity.

I subscribe to Sam Harris's podcasts, and if you've ever had a Dr tell you to "just eat less", I highly recommend listening to this. You don't need to subscribe or pay anything to listen.

A bit of the blurb for this podcast says "Sam Harris speaks with Gary Taubes about his career as a science journalist, the difficulty of studying nutrition and public health, the growing epidemics of obesity and diabetes, the role that hormones play in weight gain, the controversies surrounding his work".

I wish I could have read some of his stuff before I had surgery, but feel a bit vindicated, and still think many of our physicians need to learn some of this.

It's long, and I may listen in chunks, but usually am engrossed enough to listen through while cooking or something. It's worth the time.
