Help with gout?!?!

Hello everyone!! I have not posted in awhile... I'm 6 months out and had my first issue with gout ever.. I've heard can happen during rapid weight loss stage. Anyone else experience this? The foot pain is unbearable the first few days... Any suggestions?

Talk with your pcp. There are good medications available for gout. There are also some foods that can make it worse - I'm sure you can find a list on the www somewhere.

I am so sorry that you are suffering from gout. I hope you are able to get it resolved quickly.

Hope you get it resolved. Dh was prone to gout and was on a medication for it pre-op but has not had a flare since he got his DS almost 6 years ago.

Oh no! My dad has gout flare-ups from time to time and does very well with colchicine. We always remind him to push fluids and almost over-hydrate as that seems to speed up the healing process for him. Feel better!
