Help Support Bariatric & Weight Loss Surgery Forum:

Thanks everyone! I’ve officially reached my “full retirement age” but elected to collect just my spousal share (half of Charles’ full benefit) while allowing my own benefit to continue to grow. Not much, but better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. Covers half the small mortgage payment.

We’re back in Goodyear for Doctor Month. Leaving again on September 13 for a couple of weeks (Santa Fe, Durango and Monument Valley, maybe a stopover in Sedona in the way back), mostly with our RV club.

Me: Retina check up, prosthodontist, pelvic floor specialist and MRI for that for my tailbone issues, hematologist and two iron infusions, blood work, shrink for med refills, therapist, gyn to check “incidentalomas” seen on MRI, mammogram, cardiologist recheck (because the shrink requires it for Adderall). And I need new glasses.

Charles: Retina check up, prosthodontist, dermatologist, bloodwork, prostate oncologist checkup, PCP, hernia surgeon. I hope he can delay hernia surgery until October.

Cats: sedated dental work for two of them, Onyx’s canceled due to failing preop kidney function tests, antibiotics, recheck for Onyx (and at some point still needs the dental work).

Also: preparing for my 88 year old dad to move in with us when we get back in October. Sold the really nice and comfortable but really tall king bed in the guest room that we bought from the prior owners, and put in an adjustable king bed that is easier to get in and out of. Bought a flat screen TV for his room. Still looking for a desk for his computer stuff.

It’s probably a good thing that my firm is sending me very little work (except I get paid based on billed hours collected), as I hardly have time to do any!
