You know, Spiky with your profile picture and the image of that person being loaded, I'm sitting here pitying the hospital staff.. I sure do hope you are feeling better soon and if not, I hope they keep you loaded so you don't know the difference.

I mean can you imagine that woman in the pic high on pain killers...OMG LOL

Ask @kirmy. THAT is the face that greeted her at the airport...I kid you not!!

I am glad you are home. I hope it goes as smoothly as possible.

* FYI * I have been back on oral calcium for over a week. I am still using the patch but am getting about 1500 IU calcium citrate orally as well. So far, with this dose, I have not had to add in stool softeners and Miralax. I am waiting to see how this way of dosing my calcium plays out. I just want you to know I am heeding your example and warnings.

Hugs!

Not the reason for the bladder issues. I won the trifecta...InterstitialC,ystitis, Stones and Frequent UTIs. Lucky me!!
Ugh, like kidney stones aren't unpleasant enough, you have to make a misery cocktail with IC and a UTI?

Forgive the never ending suggestions (like, how on earth have you survived your entire life before I showed up, lol), but I'm paranoid about the respiratory suppression with dilaudid and similar drugs, and ALWAYS have Mr or Mini around if you're going to nap, or hire someone to just hang out.

I hope the wait is short and painless, and so is the procedure.

I appreciate your input.

Thanks for the video. It still seems like there is not much you can do to prevent them if you are a stone former. I hope kidney stones have no correlation with gal stones. The latter, I know I form. This give us more reasons to pay close attention to our labs. We don't want to take too much of anything.

How are you feeling today?

@Spiky Bugger I really appreciate the video. It made things so much easier for DH to understand. It also cemented some things my docs have been preaching. I know I don't drink enough, yet after seeing this, I am determined to increase my fluids. Cutting the high oxalates is going to be harder.

Barb, the way I heard the story, that's exactly what she did.

Can you imagine suffering from kidney stones before modern medicine, both pain meds and lithotripsy?
