No, the bacon nightmare is when you move from the US to Australia and can't get US bacon anymore!

Oh, we have pigs and bacon, but bacon is made from a different part of the pig over here! It's similar to Canadian bacon. If you ask your butcher you can get slices from the correct part of the pig, but it's not the same - it never tastes quite right. We can get crappy American bacon at Costco, which is still better than good Aussie bacon, but it still isn't the same.
