I was just curious, I know that Dr. Hess ("Hess Method") from Bowling Green, OH retired years ago, but did anyone replace him? I see that the hospital in that area offers gastric sleeve, RNY, and lap bad. I wondered why no one seems to have picked up Dr. Hess' torch from that area?

Are there any Hess patients who know?

To the best of my knowledge, there are no DS surgeons now in OH. Dr. John Maguire at Miami Valley in Dayton OH retired a couple of years ago. His partner, who was a RELUCTANT DS surgeon moved on and that was the end of the DS in Ohio.
