Considering DS - Advice Appreciated

Interesting thread - I too am interested in DS surgery for somewhat similar reasons (long term success, less chance of regain, etc.) - with the exception that I am NOT a big eater! I swear, I eat like I already had DS surgery - I eat very low carb, its the only thing that keeps me from GAINING weight - I just maintain around 216lbs, I'm 5'6" - ( I haven't had bread in 5 years!), no potatoes, cereal, chips, pasta - nada. I've even cut out all fruit and stick to lean protein and veggies. I already supplement with Bariatric protein shakes, puddings and soup - a half a Quest bar for breakfast. I take oodles of supplements already so I don't think that will be a problem either! My issues are absorption.....all of my friends eat far more than me, and even joke about my slow metabolism (some friends, huh?). Its maddening, and I'm ready to bust a move! I'm searching for a surgeon now and am communicating with Dr. Smith's office in Florida.

More to come...
