Im out of the procedure. The main artery in my chest was not as bad as cat scan showed it to be so nothing was done. The other artery with the port is very constricted. There was not much room to do much since the port is on the artery as well. They did the ballon procedure so they are going to see if that helps if not they will crack my chest, pull the port, pull a vein from my leg or do a graph from somewhere and use it.

Glad you’re out of the procedure. I sincerely hope the balloon procedure does the trick.

So they gave me no anesthesia. I was so scared i cried the entire procedure. I had no one at the hospital. I thought it was supposed to happen tomorrow so because i had ate i wasn't allowed anesthesia. my sister and cousin left. Soon as they left, not even 3 minutes later they came got me. I walked my family to the exit and when I got back they were waiting in my room to take me. Jacquala was getting the babies on her way to the hospital.

So...you won’t be made of plastic?

C- You are the strongest woman I know. No anesthesia! That's terrible. I hope the balloon was enough and that you have a very, very boring recovery. Please know we all care and are thinking of you. Hang in there!

If I recall, both Mr Sue and I received a topical numbing agent where the catheter was inserted...groin area...and maybe some “lightweight” chemical relaxation...valium-like stuff. But no general anesthesia.

He watched the video along with his doctors, my doctors got in the way, so I couldn’t watch. But the actual procedure didn’t cause any pain.

MY PAIN was that I had to lay flat for several hours after the procedure...maybe because I was avoiding antibiotics (?) or something, but I don’t recall the connection..and they wanted me to not pop open the area where they entered.

If replacing a failing piece of what is essentially “tubing,” with a more reliable piece of tubing, gives you back a normal life, it might well be worth being scared about it. The ONLY reasons my BIL, who is often an idiot, finally got medical care were:
1–the doctor called him WHILE HE WAS ON THE GOLF COURSE and told him to go to the nearest hospital...immediately; and,
2–he was having trouble walking from hole to hole ON THE GOLF COURSE anyway.

If only you were a golfer, it might be easier to get you to do what you might have to do.

Yea they would have given me propofol so i would be relaxed but i ate so they couldn't. They went through my my neck. I only had to lay still for 2 hours afterwards. You could have calmed me down beforehand if i knew you and Mr. SUE had the same procedure.

LOL.

I DIDN’T KNOW exactly what they were going to do...SOMEBODY didn’t tell me. (Mine was just so they could look around, Mr. Sue’s was a stent after a heart attack...way back when he was a kid like you. You weren't doing exactly either of those things.)
