Heating went out last night, when we had an overnight low of 43°. My step-brother was available to fix it in a heartbeat, no parts needed, and we thawed out.

I did NOT re-break my L3! The horrendous pain is because I broke my T12.

So, just an average Friday here.

Howz by y’all?

hope you are now consistently warm enough!

No. The ”easy fix” didn’t work. Step-bro came back and decided we needed to replace a part, which he can’t get until Monday or Tuesday.

So, CuddlDuds and space heaters are the stars of the weekend! We’ll be fine. Okay, not FINE, exactly, what with all the other aches and pains. But we’ll be warm enough…until maybe Tuesday night when the overnight low will be 38°. As long as there’s no power outage and the heaters and heating pads work, we’ll stay here and not have to camp at my sister’s.

Okay, that’s cold for you. We were at below 30 for 2 days this past week all day long.

Yes, but YOU are accustomed to actual weather. We don’t do weather here.

you poor thing! and your hubby too, of course. I know I'm not anywhere near as old as you guys, but I was house sitting up until yestesday at a house that is old and cold. I really missed my electric blanket, that's for sure.

Yup. In a month, I’ll be three quarters of a century old.

Hey Spiky, be careful we need your wisdom and snark to keep us in line. Hope you are warm and pain free.

Please stop breaking things.

I just bought a new adjustable bed, with a thick mattress, that goes on top of our platform bed. I needed to buy a step to climb up on it. And I’m afraid I’m going to trip in the middle of the night when I get up to pee, and break something. I’m not enjoying it as much as I thought I would.
