If you haven't noticed, there is now a link on the black ribbon in most views (or link on a couple of the drop-down menus, including FORUMS) for "Most Recent Posts." Although that might not be your preferred way of viewing this website, or one you are used to, I suggest you check it out. I find it the most useful way of reviewing posts - it is presented as threads, titled in bold if it has a post that was posted since the last time you opened the thread, and in regular text after you view it, with the top thread being the one with the most recent post; once you view the thread, it goes from bold to regular, but stays in the order of the most recent post on top. I find it easiest way to read the site.

Yep, this is how I read the forum as well! I start on "Home" with the newest updates - and then once I've read all those I go back and click "most recent posts" to make sure I get everything!
