Medication for Depression after DS

I'm on several prescriptions for depression. Had it for over 20 years. Will I still be able to absorb that medication as normal or will that change with the DS?

I have bipolar disorder type 2 which is mostly a lot of depression with a few low level manic episodes. My DS was October 2015. I've found that many depression meds are extended release, but not all. It's taken quite a while to get the meds right. Look for meds that are non extended release or non capsule. There are things out there, but have a good talk with your psychiatrist and a pharmacist. I've been on mirtazapine odt (orally dissolving tablet) for a while. It dissolves in the mouth. Also Cymbalta comes in a non extended release form as well. Hope this helps.

Just keep your prescribing physician on what is going on. You may have to tweak, change types, etc.
